4.4 Payment Related PII: In order to protect your credit card information, all online transactions are conducted exclusively through a secure third party site such as PayPal. ACTUATOR hereby undertakes not to collect or store your credit card information, thereby reducing the possibility of fraudulent charges being made by ACTUATOR.
4.5 EXPRESS CONSENT. ACTUATOR Users who voluntarily elect to provide their information for purposes of obtaining services expressly consent to the dissemination of that information to ACTUATOR’s editing professionals. All of our editing professions have signed confidentiality agreements where they have undertaken that they will not make any PII available to anyone, unless authorized in writing by the User. No user information will be sold, shared, or transmitted to any third party without the express consent of the User.
4.6 DISCLAIMER. ACTUATOR is an independent entity and is not owned by, associated with, or otherwise at the direction of any publisher. Likewise, ACTUATOR does not own, associate with or direct the actions of any publisher or journal. ACTUATOR provides editing services to authors and publishing support services to publishers and journals. PII and other information provided by Users is kept in confidence. Use of Actuator’s services by an author does not imply or guarantee peer review, acceptance or preference in any publication.
4.7 Removal or change of PII. If your PII changes or if You no longer desire Our services, You may update or amend Your information with ACTUATOR or ask to have it removed from Our database lists or production directory.
